As i’m a big De La Soul fan myself I’m glad they are finally dropping a new album and I’m happy it sounds good! Seems like De La Soul has put in a lot of work into the upcoming album.As they know the fans are (im)patiently waiting they dropped these 2 teasers on the net. Peep it!

As we hip hop lovers also wait on the quite anticipated album of the legendary hip hop group De La Soul, Posdnuous and Dave are busy on a duo project called First Serve and releasing their first track and promo video for it. the video quite takes you back to the daisy age and the track is nice as we always expect it from the De la Soul cats

What do you get when you put together afrobeat legend Fela Kuti and rap pioneers De La Soul? You get Fela Soul; a musical tapestry created by Gummy Soul artist Amerigo Gazaway. More than just a clever title, Fela Soul is an 8-track, 33 minute journey into the world of afrobeat rhythms, funky horn riffs, and classic hip-hop gems. Using dozens of hand-picked samples from the Nigerian instrumentalist and political figure Fela Kuti, and 8 carefully-chosen acapellas from the Native Tongue rap trio De La Soul, this is definitely something I’ll regularely listen to!

Redefinition Records selected some of its favourite producers that share one collective love: De La Soul. On this EP, each producer expresses this long lasting love through a remix, remake or tribute. This does not result in a random collection of same ol’ remixes, but each track reflects personal influences and inspiration. A personal, unique style just like De La had its very own eclectic sound.
