Blu x Madlib - UCLA [Audio]

UCLA

Back in ‘11 it was known that Blu was working on a secret album ‘UCLA’ with producer Madlib. Today Blu dropped the album, you can listen it here. Enjoy! [EDIT: It seems Blu was so nice to remove the album from bandcamp shortly after putting up. Wonder why…]

DJ Amir - I Don’t Know (Bling47 Breaks Dilla Edition) [Video]

Personally I like music history, discovering which samples were used or which musician played on the original record. So I’m excited to see these video series about breaks and samples etc.

BLING47 BREAKS DILLA EDITION is a video series that show and tell stories of how J Dilla’s music influenced and touched some of the Dj’s and producers. They were asked to go into their own private record collection and tell a lil about their favorite J Dilla sample. They kick the first episode off with DJ amir.

Notes To Self - Nobody ft. Evidence [Video]

There used to be a music television channel in the Netherlands called “The Box”. You could text code a number for the video that you wanted to see, and it would be played on TV. I remember sitting by the video recorder with my index finger on rec button. I would record music (Hip Hop) video’s and documentaries all day. When the tape was full I had whole collection or archive with things that I found cool and this video made me think of those memories.

Well, this video from Notes To Self is real cool, creative and smart. It’s a collection of authentic rap video’s that any Hip Hop head would know. The cool thing about the video is that the emcees from the different Hip Hop video’s are rapping in sync with the track “Nobody ft. Evidence”. See for yourself!

Häzel - EPK [Video]

I think each person has own way in finding new music, sometimes you really look for a particular artist/genre or you just randomly find something that crosses your path that sounds so dope. And then you out find more stuff about the artist(s) like how important music is for them as it is for you. The feeling is pretty awesome and somewhat euphoric.

Here is Häzel, a beatmaker/producer with Brazilian and France roots known for his Hip-Hop and Soul productions. I really like the musicality in his beats, that’s why I thought it was cool to share this on Super Nice Music with you guys.
